    According to the FDA
   Real Soap is:
    A. Composed of  "alkali salts of fatty acids". In other words, combining vegetable oils or animal fats with sodium hydroxide (lye).
    B. Those alkali salts of fatty acids must be the only material that results in the product's cleaning action.
    Susie Mae Soaps are true soaps. I process both hot and cold processed soaps. I do not use animal fats. The cold processed products goes through the saponification process and is cured for 4- 6 weeks. During this time the lye breaks down, the water evaporates and the bars harden.
Soap products are regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPS), not the FDA.
